Mrs. Enoch (Sarah) Dunham was accepted for membership in this church on 27 May 1820, then in January 1821 the church elders received some "unfavorable reports" of the Christian character of Mrs. Enoch Dunham and another member, Widow Polly Crane. A committee for the church was formed and reported back in May. In July of 1822 Mrs. Enoch Dunham appeared before the Session and they prayed that she world become aware of her error. The final decision on the 2 cases was put off until the next session but in October both women failed to show up and also in November, so evidently both women were removed from the membership roster. |
