LINE OF JONATHAN DUNHAM OF WOODBRIDGE, NEW JERSEY THIRD GENERATION IN AMERICA

11. JONATHAN 3 DUNHAM, Jr. (Jonathan 2 Singletary/alias Dunham, Richard 1 Singletary) b. 24 September 1672 in Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., NJ; [1] d. 6 September 1706 in Woodbridge, NJ; [2] m. 5 February 1695/6 in Woodbridge ESTHER ROLPH, [3] daughter of John and Mary (Scullard/Scollard) Rolph/Rolfe. She died 11 September 1742 in Woodbridge. Esther (Rolph) Dunham married second, 23 December 1706 in Woodbridge, Ezekiel Bloomfield, [4] b. in 1683; d. in 1749. Ezediel was the son of Ezekiel and Hope (FitzRandolph) Bloomfield. Jonathan 3 Dunham may have moved or been planning to move to Westfield, Union Co., NJ for on 2 April 1705, he gave a deed of gift to his brother Benjamin, and in that deed mentions land he had given to his brother David Dunham. This land was located in several parcels all in Woodbridge. [5] Whether Jonathan ever actually moved to Westfield or not is uncertain, as he died in Woodbridge only a little over a year after the execution of this deed. It should be noted that his brother Nathaniel 3 Dunham did go to Westfield along with many other families from Woodbridge who relocated there. The will of Jonathan 3 Dunham dated 1 Sept. 1706 and proved 30 Oct. 1706 names wife, Easter, his sole executrix, and children Samuel (under age), Eunice and Mary. SAMUEL 4 DUNHAM, b. 4 December 1697; d. 6 September 1726 From Liber B:19, The will of Samuel Dunham of Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., NJ, mariner, dated 26 Nov. 1721; proved 29 Nov. 1726; mentions his brother Moses Bloomfield; sisters Eunice Bloomfield, Mary Dunham; and his father (i.e. step-father) Ezekiel Bloomfield and his mother Esther Bloomfield. ii.
