After many years, Gratia Dunham Mahoney's hard work paid off in finding the father of Deacon John Dunham. Her tireless research and dedication knocked down a brick wall that stood for over a century. The costs of this research were supported by this organization. We had to pay for consultants and for records searches in England. Thanks to Gratia and our investment - We now know that Deacon John Dunham is the son of Richard Dunham of Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire. My deepest thanks to Gratia and to all of you for your support.

Given all this, there is now an opportunity before us that we simply can't "pass up". And I am writing you to ask for your help.

Gratia will be in England this summer on vacation. She has offered to extend her stay to do even more research. Focusing on Deacon John Dunham, his father Richard Dunham and the puritan movement that drove John's migration to America. But she needs money to cover her additional expenses. She is paying for her transportation for her vacation - and we can simply pay the incremental expenses for her to stay longer to do research for us in England. The expenses include lodging, transportation & research fees and will exceed $3000.

We discussed this in our recent board meeting. It was decided that we, as an organization, need to do all we can to fully support her efforts in England. We ask that you join us in this effort by donating what you can.

We have set up a special account for this research. You can donate by paypal by clicking here :
