14. BENJAMIN 3 DUNHAM (Jonathan 2 Singletary/alias Dunham, Richard 1 Singletary) b. 22 August 1681 in Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., NJ; [1] d. 31 December 1715 in Woodbridge, in his 35th year: [2] m. ca. 1706 in Woodbridge, MARY ROLPH. Benjamin Dunham was a large landholder and was identified with the local interest of the Township of Woodbridge. He became dissatisfied with the teachings of the Presbyterian minister, Rev. Samuel Wade, and in 1711 embraced the views of the Anglican Church. He gave the use of a dwelling house in Woodbridge for the public worship of the Church of England.

In 1715 David, Nathaniel and Benjamin Donham were on the list of the New Jersey Militia Regiment under the command of Col. Thomas Farmer. [4]

ii. KATHERINE 4 DUNHAM, b. 12 May 1708; d. before 1 May 1764, unmarried

In the will of Katherine Dunham she leaves “to my brother’s [this would be Jonathan 4 Dunham] eldest son, Benjamin Dunham, £5. Sister, Hannah Van Nest 1/2 of my real and personal estate, and the 1/2 to her heirs”. [6]

iv. BENJAMIN 4 DUNHAM, b. 4 December 1712, n.f.i. Not mentioned in sister Katherine’s will which was dated 1 May 1764.

v. HANNAH 4 DUNHAM; m. (--) Van Nest She was named in will of her sister, Katherine, dated 1 May 1764.
