LINE OF DEACON JOHN DUNHAM OF PLYMOUTH

FOURTH GENERATION IN AMERICA

283. PHEBE 4 DUNHAM (Joseph 3,2 John 1) born say 1725, died after 28 December 1778. [1] Phebe married in Taunton 1 December 1748 as his second wife JOHN RICHMOND, [2] son of John and Hannah (Otis) Richmond. He was born ca. 1710, and married first in Taunton 30 December 1736 Dighton Mirick by whom he had at least Mary and Dighton, and probably John and Hannah Richmond. [3]

There were several Richmond families living in Middleboro and in fact John Richmond’s first cousin Robert, served in 1739/40 as Tythingman in Middleborough with Phebe’s brother Stephen Dunham.[4]
