256. JOSHUA 4 DUNHAM (Eleazer 3 Joseph 2 John 1) born 1 April 1701, [1] died after 1744 when named in the will of Daniel Pratt, father of Sarah. [2] Joshua married in Plymouth 16 February 1722/3 SARAH PRATT, [3] daughter of Daniel and Esther (Wright) Pratt. Daniel Pratt was the son of Benajah Pratt and Persis 2 Dunham (John 1 Dunham). Sarah Pratt was born in Plympton, 1 October 1703, [4] and she died after 25 November 1744 when her last child was born. [5] There are several deeds which identify Joshua Dunham as a Shipwright, and one dated 1 March 1736/7 in which Joshua Dunham, shipwright and wife Sarah of Plymouth sell their house. [6] In Mayflower Deeds & Probates p. 160 is a recorded Ply LR 29:138, from Moses Wright of Plympton to Joseph Thomas of Plympton, dated 2 Apr. 1725. Moses Wright, for 60£, sold to Joseph Thomas. . .all my iron oare or iron mine which I now hath lying and being within or upon the Neck between Winnatuxett River & Colchester Brook. . .in Plimpton known by ye name of Donham Neck with liberty to dig and carry off the abovesd iron oare. . which was given to me by my Honored Father Adam Wright by deed of gift, 9 Sept. 1721 and recorded 25 Feb. 1734.
