21. STEPHEN 3 ATWOOD (Abigail 2 (Dunham) Atwood, John 1 Dunham) born say 1655; [1] died between 10 May 1715 and 12 July 1722. [2] He married by 1 March 1676/7 APPHIA (BANGS) KNOWLES, [3] daughter of Edward and Rebecca (--) Bangs. She was born in Eastham 15 October 1651; died in 1722. [4] Apphia was widow of Col. John Knowles who was killed by Indians near Taunton 3 July 1675. She had three children by John Knowles: Edward, John and Rebecca Knowles.
