Connections between the Tilson/Rickard/Dunham family are interesting. An article by Robert S. Wakefield, The Tilson Family of Plymouth Colony¸ published in TAG Vol. 69, p. 37-40 provides information about the Tilson Family of Plymouth. The first record of Edmund 1 Tilson in Plymouth Colony is the 3 Sept. 1638 grant of 5 acres “at Woberry Playne.” He married Joanne (--), apparently in England. She was granted administration of the estate of Edward Tilson 5 Mar. 1660/61. Widow Joan Tilson married second at Plymouth on 20 May 1662 Gyles 1 Rickard as his second wife. (He married first at West Hatch, County Somerset, England on 7 Jan. 1623/4 Judith (Cogan) King; married third at Plymouth on 25 June 1669 Hannah (Pontus) Churchill). | Connections between the Tilson/Rickard/Dunham family are interesting.
