4. NATHANIEL 2 SINGLETARY (Richard 1 Singletary) born in Salisbury 28 August 1644; [1] died 13 August 1689. [2] He married in Haverhill, MA 22 December 1673 SARAH BELKNAP. [3] She was probably the daughter of Samuel Belknap of Salem and Haverhill, MA. An excerpt from the History of Haverhill, Massachusetts, p. 153 describes the death of Nathaniel2 Singletary who was killed by Indians. “On the 13th of the same month (i.e. August), a small party made their appearance in the northerly part of this town, and killed Daniel Bradley.
