21. JOSEPH 4 DUNHAM (Henry H., 3 Joseph 2,1 Dunham) born in North Carolina about 1776; died in Bedford County, Tennessee in December 1820. He is buried in Harrison Cemetery, Sinkcreek, Bedford County, Tennessee. He married and had children according to the information on the 1820 and 1830 census of Bedford County.[1]

The 1850 Census of Bedford County, TN, District 18 shows a Hardy Dunham who has a wife named Nancy. On the 1860 Census of Bedford County, this Nancy Dunham appears in Palmetto, Bedford County, TN. Palmetto is near the western border of Bedford County and is near Sinking Creek (the area where Joseph 4 Dunham is buried). Thus, it is probable that Hardy Dunham was a son of Joseph 4 Dunham. More research in the Tennessee State archives will be necessary to determine the complete family of Joseph 4 Dunham.
